Young women 17 – 35

Our research shows that 90% of new young leaders have been members as girls and these young women aged 17 – 35 are our potential leaders of the future.  They are also one of the busiest and most transient groups in today’s society.  Lives take on ever changing phases – study, travel, careers and becoming mothers.

We want to offer these young women the opportunity to opt in and out of support or leadership roles as their time permits.

We aim to maintain contact with interested young women, so that when their circumstances or lifestyle changes, any decisions that might be made about volunteering includes an awareness of GirlGuiding New Zealand.  Often this generation of young women is particularly eager to give something back to Guiding or many want to be actively part of their communities.

Through this network, young women receive invitations to attend or help at events, participate in taskforces or help with local initiatives.  Plus we communicate regularly about the latest information and news.

Apply now – that’s all you need to do. No membership fee applies. There is no formal requirement to commit to anything nor is there a minimum of involvement expected.
