Guide Biscuits 2012

Girl Guides took a hands-on approach to biscuits

For the first time in 2011, members of the Girl Guides collaborated on the creation
and packaging of the year's batch of their namesake biscuits, which are sold
annually as a fundraiser.

During March every year our famous Guide biscuits are on sale. 

GirlGuiding NZ's main source of income (approximately 50%) is from the sale of Guide biscuits.

Biscuit sales are a great fun way to:

• Increase the district's and unit's income
• Promote Guiding in the community
• Get girls involved with the process of fundraising and learning about sales and marketing
• Enhance the team building spirit of the district.

Biscuit Tin - new for 2012

A biscuit tin is being introduced in 2012.

The tin is designed to fit:

• x1 original, x1 choc, x1 mini
  
• x4 original
• x4 choc
  
• x2 choc minis
• combination's of above

The biscuit tin will be on sale online from the 1 March 2012. It will also be able to be bought from units and districts around the country.

There are 20 different recipe cards available to download.

• 10 using plain biscuits
• 10 using chocolate biscuits
• and one favourite recipe from Alison Gofton

‘Begin with a Biscuit’ – Recipe book

Our popular biscuit book ‘Begin with a Biscuit’ has over 90 recipes on what you can do with both the traditional plain as well as the ‘choc’ biscuits. This book is a good promotional tool available from the Mail Order Service for $10 each - buy 10 and you can get them for $90 and sell them for $15 each, complementing your biscuit fundraising.
