GirlGuiding provides training and development to all leaders and interested adults. Progressive training programmes boost confidence in communication, team building, programme management, outdoor and indoor activities, and heaps more. Qualified trainers are also experienced GirlGuiding New Zealand leaders.

There is a Leadership Training Programme - one for leaders of girls, and one for leaders of adults. Both programmes recognise prior qualifications, skills, and/or experience acquired outside the GirlGuiding New Zealand programme.

You can also earn qualifications in life saving, first aid, boating, camping and catering. These often provide a base for building life and employment skills.
