Ways to Support GirlGuiding New Zealand

Guiding is a wonderful addition to a girl’s weekly programme –it is not just a sports group or schooling, but is an active programme packed with life skills and basic values which girls can draw on throughout their lives.

While our amazing volunteers put in thousands of unpaid hours of work every year, the increasing amount of girls wanting to participate in Guiding means your donations are vital to enable us to continue to develop and deliver our girl-focussed, balanced and exciting programmes.

You can easily make a donation in one of the following ways.

Internet Banking

You can credit your donation directly into one of GirlGuiding New Zealand’s bank accounts – please use the reference ‘Donation’.

  • GirlGuiding New Zealand account number 03-1592 0800013-00
  • GirlGuiding New Zealand Foundation account number 03-1592-0604880-00

If you advise us of your donation and provide the payment details, we can provide a receipt.

Credit Card Payment

If you would like to make a donation by using your credit card please call GirlGuiding New Zealand with your credit card details. Otherwise, please click here to download the Credit Card Donation Form, fill it in and fax it to (03) 366 8413.

Automatic Payments

These can be set up with your bank to provide ongoing regular payments. Contact us for a copy of the Association or Foundation Automatic Payment form and return it to your bank.

Payroll Giving

This is a simple, efficient and flexible scheme where you can make donations directly from your pay. For every dollar you donate, you’ll receive a third back. This means you no longer have to wait to claim tax credits at the end of the tax year.

To participate, ask your employer if they are offering payroll giving. Then download one of the Payroll Giving forms below, fill out the details and give it to your employer. You can choose how much you would like to give, how frequently and this can be changed at any time.

If you are going to support us in through Payroll Giving, please do let us know. We promise that your participation shall remain confidential and that your name will not be added to our mailing list unless instructed but we would like the opportunity to thank you now and again.

For find out more about Payroll Giving visit www.ird.govt.nz/payrollgiving or phone Belinda Carter on (03) 363 1471 or email.

Being the largest girl only organisation in New Zealand, we would be happy to talk to you about the benefits of partnering or supporting GirlGuiding New Zealand, how your partnership will help us and ways you can partner or support us. Legacy's Gift

Legacy Trust 01 - May 2011

Thanks to a generous donation of $5,000 to purchase Guide Biscuits, people in the east of Christchurch will not miss out on yummy treats. As soon as Greg Brownless from the Legacy Trust in Tauranga heard about the Christchurch quake, he wanted to do something to assist and one way was to help Guides by buying their biscuits. Guiding’s Bay of Plenty region was a key facilitator in ensuring this generous donation came directly to help Christchurch girls.

The donation purchased about 1600 packets of Guide biscuits and on Friday 8 April Greg came to Christchurch to help distribute the biscuits to Community Hubs in the worst affected areas of the city.

Greg, who is a funeral director, gifted his funeral business to the Legacy Trust and now all profits from the funeral business are donated to the community annually.
