Jamboree 2012 - Tui Ridge, Rotorua

Tui mascot 01

Girls were out and about having the most fabulous time both on site and off site.

There was something for everyone - from the whole range of water activities including a jet boat ride on Lake Rotorua to cheer leading to rocket launching to rock climbing, kapa haka, archery, acting, making ballistas, outdoor cooking, Bollywood, mountain biking, making tapas cloth, jewellery... just heaps and heaps. There was some free time too which the girls needed to regain their energy!

tui coloured hats 01The opening ceremony was a sea of colourful hats and smiles as the jamboree got underway for 2012.

Tui, the mascot, was welcoming girls and ensuring there were plenty of opportunities for photos. She wiggled her feathers very charmingly!!!

tui biking 01The JCAM was there to show what the weather was like on site rather than a live feed.  Be assured that there was activity aplenty and no one was asleep on the job - but there was need plenty of catching up on lost sleep on arrival home.

The Facebook page has lots and lots of photographs of the day's actions. (Please note: you do not need to be signed up to facebook to view the photographs). Keep checking back to see what has been added.
