Legacy's Gift
Thanks to a generous donation of $5,000 to purchase Guide Biscuits,
people in the east of Christchurch will not miss out on yummy treats. As
soon as Greg Brownless from the Legacy Trust in Tauranga heard about
the Christchurch quake, he wanted to do something to assist and one way
was to help Guides by buying their biscuits. Guiding’s Bay of Plenty
region was a key facilitator in ensuring this generous donation came
directly to help Christchurch girls.
The donation purchased about
1600 packets of Guide biscuits and on Friday 8 April Greg came to
Christchurch to help distribute the biscuits to Community Hubs in the
worst affected areas of the city.
Greg, who is a funeral
director, gifted his funeral business to the Legacy Trust and now all
profits from the funeral business are donated to the community annually.
