What's my major?
There sometimes seems to be a lot of pressure to "know what you want to be when you grow up." Some people think they know in high school (or even before!) what they want their career to be. Three words: DON’T FEEL PRESSURED!
Many people don't decide on a final major until in university. Sometimes, people graduate from uni and still aren’t sure exactly what kind of career they want to pursue.
What you’re sure you want to do in high school can easily change once you get to uni and take different kinds of classes. Most high school kids aren't aware of all the different majors there are until they get to uni and see all the choices. Many uni students either declare an undecided major until they've decided, and other students change majors once, twice, or even three times.
The bottom line is --there’s absolutely no reason to feel pressured. This is a choice you have plenty of time to make. It’s hard to narrow in on what you want until you learn more about all the interesting fields that are open to you. When you get clear on what you want to do, you'll know. Don’t rush it.
