Help I don't know wot 2 expect when it comes!!!

Re: Periods

Hey don't worry, all girls dont know what to expect - it can be scary at first but don't worry. Depending on the age, try and talk to your best friend and see what they say. Dont be scared as most girls go through this. Try talking to people as it is a natural process and it will help make them more comfortable maybe. Hope this has help Soph

Ask a good woman friend about it and she will probaly tell you what it's like.or ask a friend who has already started what it was like. Hope this helps and please keep posting questions/advice we could start a whole discussion about periods.

Don't worry, at all. Your period will come when it's ready to come, but when it does, you have to be prepared. Here are some things you can do to keep yourself prepared: 1. Buy a packet of pads, and try them on to get used to the feel of it. 2. Ditto 1 except use tampons. 3. Keep a packet of pads and tampons in your school bag in a box or bag so that if it comes at school, you are ready. You can often sense when your period is coming, but remember, it only will come once a month. Try and get a book or read online about periods. Some good books are Gotcha Covered by Lisa McGuiness and Chris Boral What's happening to me? by Usborne Remember - if you do get your period soon, make sure you tell an adult/babysitter/family friend as soon as possible! I hope I helped!

Dont worry! Every girl's period starts at a different time. I used to pretend I had it when I didn't so I would be popular, but in the end i just made a fool of myself. If you notice blood spots on your underwear, tell an adult close to you like your mum or a girl teacher. :)

My friend says it feels like you are peeing yourself. I think it is good to have a close person who has been through it all before. Although, talking about it with your parents can be a bit awkward.
