Over Queen’s Birthday Weekend, the Kaikoura Guide Club helped the Lions Ladies and the Kaikoura Health Facility Fundraising Committee run a coin trail.
The coin trail was to raise funds for the new Kaikoura Hospital - the Government has granted $10 million and the community needs to raise another $3.4 million.
The girls helped at the market at Kaikoura Primary School where coins spelt out ‘hospital’ and in the township where coins were placed along the footpath.

On Sunday 19 May the Culverden Pippins, Brownies and Guides went to plant trees at the Balmoral Reserve.
We planted lots of trees to help the Balmoral Area Committee. We got the planting done before it started to rain. We also donated three trees and planted them too.
We did this for Girl Guide Action Month.
