GirlGuiding New Zealand International Subsidies

Subsidies are available from GirlGuiding New Zealand for girls and adults to attend international GirlGuiding events in other countries. This makes it a lot easier for members to be able to afford to attend a GirlGuiding event overseas. You will see the subsidies available for each event by visiting the International Events section of this website.

GirlGuiding New Zealand Foundation Mona Burgin Scholarship

While the GirlGuiding New Zealand Foundation Mona Burgin Scholarship is not really an “international scholarship”, it is a scholarship enabling adult leaders to obtain refreshment of ideas and further enthusiasm by attending an overseas or New Zealand event or training.

International Education Kit

The international education badges can be gained by any member of GirlGuiding. The purpose of this kit is to promote greater understanding of international GirlGuiding. The kit is divided into three sections:

  • the world around us
  • the global perspective
  • belonging to a worldwide movement

The syllabus is available from the GirlGuiding New Zealand Mail Order Service, as too are the badge and blanket patch on completion of the syllabus.
