Reporting to the Communications Manager you will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and delivering several annual national events including National Conferences, Jamborees events, Ranger events and Queen’s Guide Awards as well as other events/activities as required.
You will also be responsible for producing creative email campaigns, assisting the team with social media initiatives to increase visibility, supporting the daily marketing of the organisation and much, much more.
If you are a motivated team player who uses their initiative, is flexible, meets deadlines, can multi-task with great attention to detail, achieves results, and can effectively work alongside our members, other staff, external contractors and suppliers you are exactly what we are looking for!
Due to the nature of this Christchurch based role the successful applicant will be required to work on occasional weekends and evenings.

Volunteer Recruitment and Services Co-ordinator (Auckland)

GirlGuiding New Zealand is seeking someone who not only believes in what GirlGuiding stands for but will want to play a part in making it happen.
This is a great time to join the organisation and support GirlGuiding NZ achieving their strategic, national and operational objectives in relation to membership growth and retention. Recruitment of quality volunteers and their retention through great initiatives will be a key objective for this role.
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will be working effectively as a member of the recruitment team to ensure the timely processing of volunteer enquiries and placement in units to reduce the current waiting lists GirlGuiding NZ has.
In conjunction with staff and key volunteers, you will also closely monitor membership numbers, trends, waitlists and volunteer changes to ensure a proactive targeted approach to volunteer recruitment which will contribute to girl membership growth.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- some experience in HR administration
- the ability to support recruitment initiatives and practices
- excellent communication skills and the ability to engage people effectively
- attention to detail
- proven experience using your initiative and problem solving skills
- be proficient in the use of MS Office.
This role is full time based in our Mt Eden office. Preferably the successful applicant will have an understanding of not-for-profit organisations.

Administration and Support Co-ordinator (Office, International and Travel)

GirlGuiding New Zealand is seeking someone who can provide outstanding administrative support to the Office, International and Travel functions of the organisation.
Being a person that enjoys getting the job done and using and developing your coordination skills in a day full of variety, this is a role that will keep you on your toes and bring a sense of achievement.
This role is the warm welcome to GirlGuiding NZ. You will be the initial point of contact for enquires and calls, supporting the attendance of members at international events and coordinating travel. You will keep the office ticking over ensuring it has supplies, staff meetings are minuted and police checks are administered.
You will have exceptional customer service skills, be adaptable and a supporter of change and keen to let your admin skills shine.
You will not only support what GirlGuiding stands for….. enabling girls and young women to reach their full potential and make a difference in the world… but will play a part in making it happen.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrable admin skills
- Commitment to strong customer service

Administration & Support Co-ordinator (Governance & HR)

GirlGuiding New Zealand is seeking someone who can provide exceptional support to the Governance and HR functions of the organisation.
Being a person that thrives on variety, has impeccable organisational and administrative skills and exudes integrity and discretion, this is a role you can really sink your teeth into.
This role is in the thrust of the engine room. You will be supporting HR with payroll and day to day administration and ensuring the National Board, Foundation, Committees and AGM run smoothly. You will provide a full circle of support from organisational logistics to the agenda and report prep and distribution to taking minutes and following up on actions.
You will be adept at building relationships and using your honed communication skills to ensure information is where it needs to be within timeframes, action is taken and there is follow through.
You will not only support what GirlGuiding stands for….. enabling girls and young women to reach their full potential and make a difference in the world… but will play a part in making it happen.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrable administration support experience
- Integrity and discretion
- High level of communication and relationship management skills, including written and verbal communication
- Minute taking experience to an executive level
- Flexibility as Board and National Committees meetings and teleconferences often take place outside of office hours and at weekends (approx. 12 meetings/teleconferences throughout the year)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Huge initiative and the ability to be proactive
- Customer focus
