Connect
Connect
For young women aged 16 - 25
Connect offers an exciting and flexible programme with a huge variety of challenges and opportunities for personal development.
Members of Connect can choose from a wide range of unique and exciting opportunities, including international experiences, volunteering within GirlGuiding New Zealand (GirlGuiding NZ) as a mentor or leader, learning new skills, staying in touch, having fun and working towards valuable qualifications.
We know that for young women aged 16 – 25 these years are some of the busiest and most transient times in your life. Lives take on ever changing phases – study, travel, career, finding lifelong partners, becoming mothers and much more. With that in mind we’ve developed different types of involvement and made it really simple for you to choose and move between them. The three options are: Network (an alumnae group), StayConnected (a chance for those who are keen to help out but can't commit to regular leadership) and ExpandedHorizons (a programme for young leaders aged 16 - 25).

Network
Network offers you a chance to stay in touch with GirlGuiding NZ through our alumnae for 16 – 35 year olds. Through this network, you will receive invitations to attend or help at events, participate in taskforces or help with local initiatives.
StayConnected
The StayConnected programme offers a range of activities and challenges and motivates members to try out new things – it could be learning a language, playing a musical instrument, running a marathon, camping in the wilds or volunteering overseas.
ExpandedHorizons
Young Leaders aged 16 - 25 can participate in the ExpandedHorizons programme and work towards the GirlGuiding NZ Leadership Award (for Young Leaders). This programme helps support young leaders to continue to enhance their leadership skills.
