Apple Badges

The Apple badges are the milestone awards for pippins. Girls can achieve an apple badge every six months starting with the Green Apple and finishing with the Gold Apple.

Unit Badges

There are six Pippin Unit badges - Pippin Friends, Pippin Family, Pippin Health, Pippin Art, Pippin in the Kitchen and Pippin Rock n’ Roll.

Whānui Badges

These badges can be completed throughout Guiding and include the ANZAC Heritage Patch, Biscuit Patch, Māoritanga, Walk a Mile and Water for Life.

WAGGGS badges

There are also badges that a completed by girls all over the world by the World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides (WAGGGS) and include Stop the Violence and Thinking Day badges.

Pippin/Brownie Link

When girls are seven years old, they move on to Brownies and earn a special linking badge.
