Aoraki Award - Hannah's report

Hi my name is Hannah,

Guides has taught me a lot of things like leadership, knots and more. I have made new friends at Guides and have enjoyed every single part of it. I think my favourite challenge was part of my leadership clauses when I helped out at a Pippin unit. This was really fun. The Pippins enjoyed having me there and I was a great help to their leader organising and running the activities. Another challenge was running my own camp, although I’ve been to many camps they did not prepare me for the huge task of running my own. I chose a glitter and sparkles theme, making slime and friendship bracelets - trying to sign off clauses for the other girls - as well as having fun.

My biggest challenge by far was going away to CBee16 Jamboree in Christchurch. I made friends from all over the world and it was worth it!

I am so proud of my achievements but I wouldn’t be able to get this far without my mum and awesome leaders. I am really sad to be leaving Guides but it has prepared me for life!
